Motivational Interviewing & Brainspotting Skills
Brainspotting-informed skills you can weave into the work you already do. This is a skills workshop, not Brainspotting certification training.
How we teach
- Practice over lecture. Most of the time goes to real plays, role plays, and discussion.
- Your examples, not generic ones. We build case studies around the people your team serves.
- Everyone can take part their own way. No forced sharing, real breaks, and materials ahead of time for people who like to read first.
- Real people in front of the room. Our trainers have lived experience and years in community mental health, and we teach from both.
After the training
Learning sticks better with a little follow-up. Depending on what you need, we can share resources, give you activities for team meetings, come back for a one- or two-hour booster, or run a refresher later on. For Motivational Interviewing, we also offer coding and coaching.
Length, cost, and logistics
- Length
- The standard workshop runs four hours. Some topics work better as two half-days or two full days, and we can shape the length to fit.
- Cost
- A four-hour workshop is $1,400 to $2,000 for the whole group, not per person. Discounted rates may be available in special circumstances, based on your organization’s needs.
- Group size
- Teams of 8 to 25 tend to work best. Larger group? Let’s talk about what would fit.
- In person or virtual
- Virtual anywhere, or in person at your agency. We travel up to about three hours from Milwaukee; travel expenses are agreed with you up front.
- Continuing education
- CE credit may be available as an add-on, at an additional cost. Ask us what’s possible for your group.
